PROCESS
At Coventry Development Company, we make the design-build process understandable and comfortable. The basic process is:
Create rough design drawings
The customer may have a set of plans, rough sketches, or basic ideas for a home. Coventry’s designer will assist in laying out the basic design and specifications for the home. The designer visits the home site to ensure that the design plans take full advantage of the views, orientation, slope, and other site features. The design service is part of our product.
Written proposal
Coventry will prepare a proposal based on the design drawings and specifications. Standard features and allowances will be clearly outlined. The schedule for progress payments will be delineated in the proposal.
Acceptance by buyer
Upon agreement of the proposal, a contract between the buyer and Coventry Development Company is signed, and the buyer obtains financing based on an appraisal of the property.
Periodic progress reports
Coventry keeps the customer informed on the progress of the project on a continuous basis. Electronic reports with digital photos are utilized for customers who do not live in the Las Cruces area.
Final inspection
Coventry and the buyer do a final inspection upon receipt of the Certificate of Occupancy, and prior to closing.
Warranty
Coventry provides warranty protection for their homes through Residential Warranty Corporation. Major structural defects are warranted for ten years.
